The representative of the Supreme Authority and the legal guardian of the Abbasid Holy Shrine, Mr. Ahmed Al-Safi, announced the donation of 500,000 packages of intravenous solutions to the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples.
This came during the opening of Al-Joud Factory for intravenous solutions in the holy city of Karbala.
Text of the speech of the representative of the highest authority
The following is the text of the speech of the representative of the Marja’iya during the opening ceremony of the Al-Joud Factory for Intravenous Solutions affiliated with the Holy Shrine in the holy Karbala Governorate:
“Dear guests, honorable official and social delegations, peace be upon you all and God’s mercy and blessings
Perhaps among the resources that the Holy Abbasid Shrine has paid attention to – and it has many interests as is not hidden from the follower – there are two important things that require special attention from it, which are the educational and medical or health aspects, and perhaps civil life indicates the extent of its development by the importance of these two sectors.
Providing an advanced educational environment for students
Praise be to God, for years we have had the honor of serving an important segment of our sons and daughters at the level of education, and we have sought to provide a clean, advanced and encouraging environment for the student, starting from kindergartens and ending with universities. The result of this interest was thousands of students, whether in primary education (in its three stages and before it kindergartens) or in university education, and we are still following these steps and within international standards, and these schools and universities – praise be to God Almighty – have exceeded some of the required standards, meaning that their success was indicated by some of those who visited them and reviewed them from external parties, in terms of training teachers and caring for students and the school environment. As for the health and medical aspect, we also had a share in that, because this country – praise be to God Almighty – deserves all attention, and whenever the opportunity is available, we make an effort to support it by providing its needs, and perhaps the medical need is a daily need to the extent that we have sought, in addition to establishing some hospitals, and perhaps the future will be filled with the opening of an advanced hospital project in the center of Babil Governorate, and the delay in its completion was due to the country’s situation in some cases, and the lack of some funding, but God Almighty willing, we will overcome these barriers, and God Almighty will grant us success in completing the project.
Following up on the scientific development in the manufacture of intravenous solutions
Among the projects that fall within the health field is this project. We started it in a very difficult situation when the country went through the problems of ISIS and others, which caused a delay in its completion. We also benefited from this delay in keeping up with the scientific development related to the manufacture of intravenous solutions. To be fair, it is a very precise and important industry, and the engineering and medical staff in the science of pharmacy made a tremendous effort to make this factory like this. God willing, after we finish the opening remarks, there will be a tour for those concerned inside the factory, so that those concerned can see the effort that was made to complete this factory.
Al-Joud factory capacity for intravenous solutions
It is not hidden from those who are informed about the real need for intravenous solutions factories, as it is an almost daily need if not daily, and according to what was reported by the health authorities, Iraq needs more than 120 million half-liter packages per year, and this is undoubtedly a large amount, and this factory has a production capacity of 27 million packages annually, and God willing, we have started marketing production.
Thanks to all the brothers who honored us with their presence today to see this achievement, and to the young faithful arms and expertise that have been exerting tremendous efforts in order to advance these projects in the service of the people.
Donating to the Palestinian and Lebanese people with solutions from Al-Joud Factory
We should not forget to mention that the world today is going through some crises, especially in beloved Palestine and dear Lebanon, due to the brutal cruelty that these two countries are exposed to by the enemy, this arrogant entity that has caused thousands of injuries and injuries, we decided to donate – and perhaps this is our duty – an amount of some of the solutions that are actually available from the factory’s production, and in particular there is a need for sodium chloride solution as well as glucose solution.
The donation will be two hundred and fifty thousand for the dear Palestinian people, and the same for the generous Lebanese people, and of course this donation will be exclusively through the Iraqi Ministry of Health, as it is the official channel that communicates with these two countries.
We ask God that the ministry will be able to deliver it to those who deserve it and need it in these two countries, as for those who came to us here, we are at their service, whether at the level of treatments in hospitals, or at the level of providing treatments, whether produced by us or those that we can provide from local markets. In conclusion, we ask God Almighty for more success for this country and we ask Him, the Almighty, to recover from all its wounds, and that is not difficult for God Almighty.”
